Abi Lieff is a Brooklyn based actor, movement artist and writer, originally from Ottawa, Ontario.

Lieff is drawn to the relationship between physical performance and narrative storytelling. One of the main themes of Lieff's work is to tap into universal truths in an unexpected way.

She just completed her first narrative short, Blubber, which she wrote and starred in, directed by Chloë Levine. Past projects include Off-Broadway's Playground Lessons, in which she co-directed, choreographed and starred in; Maya Hawke's music video Thérèse; and choreographed for Shudder's The Sacrifice Game, directed by Jenn Wexler. It premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in July 2023, and won Best Canadian Feature.
